The prongs on this whisk serve to break up the clumps of matcha. Make matcha tea like usucha and koicha just like how it is served to you in Japan. The Japanese have perfected the design of the bamboo whisk over centuries, and its engineered to provide an optimum amount of agitation to whip up matcha into a delicious, frothy beverage. To keep things affordable for beginners, this whisk is handcrafted by a reputable manufacturer in China using bamboo. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plant species, and bamboo wood is plentiful and environmentally sustainable.
Instructions for use:
Seasoning before use: Soak the bamboo whisk in hot water for 2 minutes before the first use to help the curled ends unfurl.
Whisking matcha whisk: Moving only your wrist, whisk as quickly as possible in an M- or W-shaped motion with the bamboo whisk slightly suspended in the liquid.
Storing matcha whisk: Dry whisk on a matcha whisk holder to help maintain its original shape. If you do not own a matcha whisk holder, leave it to dry on its handle.
