What is matcha?

Matcha is shade-grown green tea from Japan that’s ground into powder, and can be used to make incredible  tea, lattes and baked goods.

Why should you drink matcha?

It is full of antioxidants, has a bit of caffeine and packed with amino acids like L-theanine due to the shading process. Together, these ingredients work to provide you with a calm, zen-like energy boost that can last for hours.

What tea bloggers are saying about us

@ Grassy Notes

As a traditional usucha preparation, the umami and vegetal notes are closely linked and can be difficult to tell apart, but the finish is long and this is where the umami becomes more pronounced.

The umami is strong and unlike any matcha I've tasted before.

Daniela @ Teacachai

For those who specifically ask for good matcha on Amazon, go for Naoki. It's hard to find good matcha there in between so much "matcha noise" and cheap quality ones.

Nicole @ Tea For Me Please

Naoki Matcha has quickly become one of my favorite matcha vendors since I discovered them last year.

They are one of the few companies selling matcha on Amazon that I would actually buy from.

Ricardo @ My Japanese Green Tea Blog

It is very creamy, and has a good eumami taste. But its nevertheless sweet and has a long aftertaste.

Of course, it isn't bitter at all. I consider it to be a very smooth matcha. It's hard for me to explain but the taste is quite original.
