Why we made this
Most matcha is blended to create a consistent flavour. We created this limited release set to let you experience matcha differently.
By tasting four single cultivars side by side, you get to experience how each cultivar expresses its own character.

Kirari / "Bold": Bold, with lingering umami-savoury notes. More aromatic and assertive than Okumidori, with a deeper complexity.

How to enjoy
Each of these matcha are good enough to enjoy straight (usucha, tea) or as a latte.
We recommend 2g of matcha with 60-80ml of water for usucha.
We recommend 4g of matcha with 40ml of water and 120ml of milk for lattes. Sweeten as you like it.
We love the Okumidori "Smooth" and Seimei “Mellow” as usucha and sweetener-free lattes.
We really enjoyed the intense sweet-savoury-roasty notes of the Yabukita “Deep Roast” and Kirari “Bold” matcha as lightly sweetened lattes.

What makes Yame a special place for matcha?
Yame is gyokuro country. The shading techniques that produce Japan's most prized green tea were perfected there. That same expertise carries into how Yame producers grow tencha, the leaf that becomes matcha.

What you get
You get 4 x 20g bags of matcha. Each of them made with a single tea-cultivar. Try them as usucha or lattes, and get to know the differences between each.
